About the Event
Things are getting a little strange at Creatures of Whim... 🧺🕯️ Join us for a special Poppet Magick Craft Night + Wicker Movie Outing, inspired by the wonderfully weird and raunchy new film Wicker! We’ll begin the evening at Creatures by exploring the folk-magical tradition of poppets and sympathetic magick before everyone creates their very own handmade straw poppet representing themselves.
Once your little wicker / straw double has taken shape, you’ll transform it into a personal spell! Choose an intention such as abundance, success, protection, confidence, love, creativity, or good fortune, then dress and enchant your poppet using herbs, oils, charms, and other magical ingredients corresponding with your intention. We’ll finish by working a spell together to empower our creations, and everyone will take their enchanted poppet home to continue working with afterward.
After crafting, we’ll pack up our tiny wicker selves and walk together to LexLive, located just…
