What is Reiki healing?

Reiki is a Japanese form of stress relief and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a “laying of the hands” healing modality that channels energy to the client with the practitioner acting as a conduit for energy flow. Reiki relieves energy blockages and imbalances to support well-being. This practice treats the WHOLE person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating multiple beneficial effects including: relaxation, feelings of peace, security, and well-being.

The Reiki experience:

Laken’s sessions are all about healing and realigning the whole body. Sessions begin with an initial conversation in which the client describes the physical and/or emotional symptoms they are experiencing, as well as problems that may be arising in their life. The session will continue with the client lying (fully clothed) on a massage table. A combination of smudging, essential oils and a sound bath will be administered to promote relaxing and a meditative state. Based on conversation and feedback from the energy in the client’s body, Laken will use light touch and/or aura work to channel healing energy to the client in order to clear blockages/open up the body’s chakras.
