Intro to Broom Making

A Hands-On Craft

Dustin Cecil, the person behind broomtown, will walk you through making a cobweb broom. Using tassels of broom-corn (also known as sorghum) we’ll follow the traditional method of broom making.

Everyone will get enough materials to make two brooms! You can expect to set aside three hours for this workshop, although you might finish before we wrap up for the night. We will also go over basic weaving techniques so anyone can join in.
