Intro to Broom Making

Brooms are a classic symbol associated with witches. In modern practices, brooms are valued as tools for clearing negativity and attracting prosperity.

Dustin Cecil, the person behind broomtown, will walk you through making a cobweb broom. Using tassels of broom-corn (also known as sorghum) we’ll follow the traditional method of broom making.

At the end of the workshop, everyone will go home with at least one completed broom—most participants end up making two! All materials will be covered by the workshop ticket. We will also go over basic weaving techniques so no experience is required to participate.
